Here are a few super deals I didn’t want you to miss.
Pair this sale up with a $3 off of 2 Dixie products from Video Values.
A How-To Beginner's Guide to Saving Money at Rite Aid
Sign up for a Rite Aid wellness+ card
Clip coupons from various sources (online, Sunday papers, magazines, etc.)
Organize coupons in a folder, binder or accordion style holder according to categories. Whatever works for your needs.
Sign up for Rite Aid's Video Values advertising/coupon program. This is a separate sign up process. I suggest using the same user ID and password as you did when signing up for the wellness + card, just to keep thing simple.
With the Video Values (adperk) you view various ads and receive valuable coupons that you print from your computer. Such as $3 off Loreal hair care product or $1 off any non-prescription purchase, etc. There are new coupons and ads each month.
Scan the current Rite Aid weekly sales circular. Pair up sale items with any coupons you may have. Don't forget you can stack coupons. Meaning you can use a manufacturer's coupon along with a Video Values (VV) coupon for one item. Also review the ad for in-ad coupons. You can even stack that coupon with the manufacturer's coupon and the VV coupon. You could end up using 3 coupons for one item. View Rite Aid’s Coupon Policy here for a better explanation.
Look for items that offer +UP rewards. Those are cash back bucks that you can use on a future purchase. They print on the bottom of your receipt. Your future purchase doesn't have to be on a different day or at a different time. You can actually use it right away. You may want to split your order up to get +UP rewards back on transaction number one and use it to help cover the cost of the transaction number two. Be on the look our for special promotions that include buying a certain dollar amount over a specified time and receive up rewards in return.
Make a plan. Write down what you want to buy and what coupons you are going to use. Organize and place them in an easily accessible location. Bring other coupons with you in case you find an unadvertised sale or clearance item. You can use a coupon with those items as well.
If you find that an item you want is out of stock, get a raincheck. The cashier will ask how many you want and write you up a raincheck. You can pair a rainchecked item with a coupon. Keep that in mind.
Hand cashier your wellness + card, let him/her ring up all items. Watch the scanned price and make sure they are ringing up correctly. Once total is achieved, hand over your coupons. If you have any +UP rewards to use, you can hand those over after other coupons have been deducted. Note: If the +UP rewards you are going to redeem are for more than the pre-tax total, you won't be able to use. Save it for another transaction/shopping trip. *
Be sure to save receipt. Look for any +UP rewards you may have received and save those for a future purchase.
At home, go back to RiteAid.com and sign up for the Single Check Rebate program. Again, use same ID and password. Enter your receipt information. Enter every receipt you get. If your purchase qualifies for a rebate, it will be figured out for you. You do nothing else at this point. Check back periodically to see if your purchase did indeed qualify for a rebate. After the rebate month has ended, submit a request for your rebate. Only one request per month. So wait until the month is over and you have submitted all your receipts before making a request.
You will receive a check in the mail that you can cash at your bank or use as cash at Rite Aid.
***Note: Sometimes when you pair up coupons with sale items, you may end up getting the item for free or there may even be money left over. Rite Aid won't give you money back, so be sure to account for that in your purchases. Say you are buying an item that is on sale for $3.00 and you have a coupon that is for $4.00. You will have to use what is known as a “filler” item. Something that can fill in the cost difference. If you have a dollar to account for, you may pick up a travel sized item, a candy bar or something of that nature. Don't let any money go to waste.
My family recently down graded our cable as the promo rate we had for certain premium channels and services had ended or changed and no matter what I said or did, they wouldn’t keep the old rates for me. So…to make a long(er) story short, we tried Netflix for a month for FREE. They offer a one month free trial then it is $7.99 per month after that. You can opt for additional services for added fees if you so desire.
We had Netflix for just a short week and we loved it. You have instant access to thousands of great movies, TV shows, documentaries and more. You can watch Netflix in a variety of ways.
1) Internet ready TV (which we don’t have)
2) Internet cable gaming system like the Wii, Xbox or PS3 (which we do have)
3) Computer
4) Ipod Touch, Ipad or even Iphone (some android phones are now Netflix capable as well)
We have 3 of the 4 options and we have utilized them all. I can watch a movie on the computer while my son watches on the TV via the Wii and my daughter can watch the DVD we had mailed to us with the 1 DVD per month plan (cost $9.99 as opposed to the $7.99 non-DVD plan). You pay the extra $2 bucks per month and you get 1 DVD sent to you by mail and you keep and watch it as long as you want. When you are done, you send it back in a prepaid mailer and Netflix will send you the next DVD on your list. Simple!
The one thing I like about Netflix is that it has STARZ play, which is basically everything you would get on the STARZ movie channel. Just that feature alone more than pays for the monthly fee. The discount price in my area of the STARZ premium channel on our cable system is $10 a month. With Netflix I can get that and a ton of other movie and programming options for $9.99 per month.
Go here to get all the details on how Netflix works.

Did you know that if you are willing to try another product brand you could be saving big money? I am not talking about using store or generic brands either.
If you are a couponista…or would like to be one, you need to be open to buying and using products from varying companies. If you are a coupon expert, you know that you can get an awesome deal by pairing up coupons with sales. If you normally buy Motrin for example, but there is a sale on Advil, you have a coupon for it and your final cost would be less than a dollar, wouldn’t you buy the Advil instead of Motrin?
I understand that there are some items that you simply prefer one brand over another and that is fine. But if you are willing to opt for another brand for most items to get the best deal, you are going to save yourself some serious cash.
