I posted about this app earlier in 2010, but I hadn't utilized it much myself until recently. The holidays left me over full and over stuffed. I decided to take advantage of this very helpful app. Here is the low dow.

Lose it! by FitNow, is an app that keeps track of your food intake as well as your exercise. If you already have a free account from their website,
Loseit.com you can utilize that. If not, start from scratch. It is very simple to create your account.
If you are interested in losing weight, one great feature is that you can enter your starting weight, your goal weight and at what rate you’d like to lose the weight; 1 pound a week, 1 1/2 pounds a week or 2 pounds per week. It will then calculate how many calories you would need to consume each day. It will also show you by what date you should reach your goal.
You enter all your snacks and meals and it deducts the calories from your total allowed caloric intake for the day(based on your input). You will know at all times how many calories you have left for the day.
This is a fun and easy way to keep track of your caloric consumption and exercise routine . It gives you a clear, concise route to reaching your weight loss goals.
