Do you have a ton of items that you take to the dry cleaners every week? Are you wishing for a way to save a few bucks? Try these few simple steps to avoid being “taken to the cleaners”.
If you have only worn the item for a couple of hours and there are no visible spots or stains and it doesn't have an odor or look too disheveled, spray a bit of FeBreeze on it and hang it back in the closet.
Does that item really need to be dry cleaned or can you hand wash or gently machine wash it? If them item doesn't have any particular embellishments such as sequins or fringe, and it doesn't say on tag, Dry Clean Only, you may be able to wash it at home with delicate detergent such as Woolite and always wash in cold water and air dry or fluff dry in the dryer.
If you are a person who truly does go the the cleaners every week or every other week with your items, ask the proprietor if they offer a frequent customer discount. You might get a standing 10% off each dry cleaning service or maybe a discount card. After you get ten shirts cleaned, you can get one done for free. It can't hurt to ask.
Shop around. If there are several cleaners in your area, call each of them to get their pricing. You might be surprised at the different prices. I checked with a few local cleaners and found that one charged seventy five cents more per shirt than another one. Add that up. Seventy-five cents times several shirts over several weeks; that can really put a pinch in the pocket book.

We purchased this item then I took our dog for a walk and lo and behold...a miracle has occurred. I had a brand new dog! Walking was pleasant not only for our dog, but also for me!
