I just read an article at creditcards.com that stated that where we shop can adversely affect our creditors perspective on each of us as individuals. What I mean is that the creditors of course know exactly where we shop and if it seems we are shopping too much at discount or consignment shops for example, that could be an indicator to them that we are financially strained and may have trouble paying our bill. Isn't that ridiculous! With that information, they can then choose to lower our credit limits for example. It is bad enough that everything we buy is being monitored by the credit card companies, but now they can use it against us? Ridiculous!
The best thing we can do is to get rid of our credit cards in the first place. Easier said than done, I know all too well. One great plan for doing so is Dave Ramsey's Total Money Makeover. Simple plan that works if you follow it. For more info on Dave's Plan as well as other debt management ideas click here.
