So what is Redbox and how does it work? Redbox is a DVD vending machine. No more going into a big store and browsing the isles. With a few clicks on a touch screen you can view available titles and rent your selection. You can even get FREE rentals by using special promo codes. You pay for your rentals with a credit or debit card. The cost for a DVD rental is $1 per night. You have until 9pm the following day to return without any additional charges. If you include your email address when you rent your DVD, a confirmation of rental and return will be sent to you. You can keep the DVD as long or as little as you like. If it goes unreturned for 25 days or more you officially own the DVD. The charges will stop at $25 and you can keep the DVD permanently.
If you create an account at Redbox.com you can even use the "reserve" option for an available DVD at your selected Redbox location. (You can't, however, use promo codes when doing this.) When you go to the Redbox location you selected, your DVD will be guaranteed to be there waiting for only you. Another benefit of signing up online is that you also get special promo codes sent via email or text. Every first Monday of the month they send a promo code for a 1 night FREE rental valid for that day only and only for a one time use. They also send periodic promo codes for various reasons.
Redbox is a great option for saving money on DVD rentals.
